St. Mark Lutheran Church is a people created by God in Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, called and sent to bear witness to God's creative, redeeming and sanctifying activity in the world. As a community of Christ, we are called not only to minister within our congregation but also to minister outside our congregation. Our mission activity is evident in many ways, including St. Mark Preschool Campus Ministry Serving meals at the Salvation Army A Partner in PACEM Prayer Quilt & Shawl Ministry
and the open use of our building by many community groups. To emphasize mission the Congregation Council has developed the following statement to be used by committees and the Council in developing goals and objectives: St. Mark Lutheran Church, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone, is a people called by God to be servants of all people; to experience God's saving grace through faith; to come together as the body of Christ in worship and celebration of the gifts of God; and to reach out to those outside the church with witness to the loving grace of God through Christ Jesus. To answer this call, our mission will include reaching out to and beyond the members of St. Mark. |

A noted theologian has said: "If you want to know what Lutherans are like, worship with them." That is excellent advice! At St. Mark we invite you to join us in all our worship opportunities. Traditional Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday, and uses both the Lutheran Book of Worship and alternative musical settings. We are a congregation that worships! Please take a look at our schedule of services and come get to know us! |
