St. Mark has been blessed by having Pastor Bill Stewart act as our part-time interim pastor while the church completes the process of calling a new pastor. Pastor Stewart will lead us in worship three Sundays per month and will be in the church office a couple of mornings per week.

At present Pastor Stewart's office time is Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 9:00-12:00. His home phone number is 978-1717 and his cell phone number is 962-3587. He has agreed to serve as our church needs on a renewable term of six months.

Pastor Stewart has served the greater Lutheran Church by

• Serving a two church parish in Blain, PA for 3 years.
• Serving on a staff ministry in Lancaster, PA for 10 years.
• Serving as Assistant to the Bishop in the Central PA Synod (LCA) for 9 years.
• Re-developing Peace Lutheran Church, Charlottesville, VA for 12 years.
• In retirement, developing Grace & Glory Lutheran Church, Palmyra, VA. for 5 years.
• Beginning a new mission in the Crozet area at the request of Bishop Mauney.

Pastor Stewart has come to know some of us in recent months as our administrative vice pastor. He’s ready to share with us his vision and his counsel.

Pastor Stewart is married to Phyllis and has two grown children living in the area.
